Office Manager / School Registrar
Cathy joined the staff in August 2012. She calls Faith her happy place and has enjoyed serving the members of the church and school. Interacting with the children at Faith is one of the highlights of her job. Cathy was raised near Binghamton, New York and after high school graduation, her family moved to Texas. She went to college there and then moved to North Carolina. In 2002 she moved to the Seattle area and is living in Duvall. Her daughter Brittany is studying to be a nurse at UW and her son Jeremy is interested in physics and philosophy at Western Washington. Brittany and Jeremy are her pride and joy and the 3 of them have a lot of fun together. Cathy has a golden retriever and two cats who also keep her and her kids entertained. In her free time, Cathy enjoys kayaking, camping, bike riding, knitting, snow skiing, gardening and baking (she really loves sweets).
Director of Music Ministries
Although originally from Dana Point, California, David has returned to what he considers home in the Pacific Northwest. He joined our ministry team in August, 2015 after four years in Saint Paul, Minnesota. During those years, he had the pleasure of serving as Music Director for Lord of Life Lutheran Church in Lakeville. He also worked for Augsburg Fortress Publishers as a Customer Service Specialist, and he was the music director and accompanist for several community and professional theatre companies in the Twin Cities. It was also during this Minnesota residency, that he obtained a 200-Hour Yoga Certification….because, who doesn’t practice yoga these days?! David holds both a Bachelors of Music from Pacific Lutheran University in composition and keyboard studies, as well as a Masters of Music in composition and collaborative arts from the University of Oregon. During his PLU years, he had the distinct honor of performing with Choir of the West and the University Symphony Orchestra. While in Eugene, Oregon he performed with the Eugene Symphony Chorus as well as participated in several Oregon Bach Festivals and Oregon Bach Festival Composer Forums. Finally, David loves family time, closely followed by travel with family whenever possible. When NOT at the piano/organ bench, he enjoys spending time with Mike, Daisy, and Rumpus (the last two are their pets). He loves going on crazy wilderness adventures as well as playing board games, reading mostly nonfiction (there’s always something to learn) and watching movies. He’s also an avid knitter (scarves for everyone!) and of course, loves any and all types of yoga.
