Social Ministry at Faith!

Lutherans have a long history of serving the community and the world. In fact, one of Martin Luther's most famous teachings was this:

"A Christian is free, subject to none.  A Christian is a servant, subject to all."

We believe that our Christian freedom is best expressed in serving our community, our neighbors and the world.  At Faith Lutheran Church we offer many ways for your discipleship to become real and active by helping others.  As we work on this webpage, you will be able to see how we "let our light shine" in the world.

We help with the Redmond Teen Center, the Seattle Compass Center, Tent City, Hopelink, the homeless shelter in Redmond, with battered and abused women of domestic violence, the YMCA, St. Andrews House, Habitat for Humanity, Lutheran World Relief, Quilts for newborn babies, The Souperbowl - all to fight hunger with many other programs and agencies in the name of our Lord, Jesus Christ!
