End of Summer Bash!!
Friday, August 21st we are going on an extravaganza of fun!! First we are going
to Birchbay Waterslides in
Bellingham 10am, then we will have lunch 12pm, second we will head to Snohomish
Doodlebug Sportz for outdoor paintball 4-7pm, and then finally head to Our
Saviors in Everett and have a lock-in with pizza, games, worship, movies and
breakfast 8pm -8am. This will only cost you $40 per person! So get your friends
together because this will be a blast!

Quake Zone Youth Weekend
When:
November 20-22, 2009
Where:
Marriott Hotel (By the Seattle Airport)
Cost:
$120 with a $50 non-refundable
deposit due Sept. 20th
Youth will discover and grow their Christian faith when they attend a Quake
Zone. Participants will experience nationally renowned Christian musicians,
inspiring speakers, and an awesome service project.
This is a combined format is for both middle school (Quakes) and high school
(Zones) youth (grades 6-12th). Together youth groups participate in large group
celebrations and then break off into small groups designed for their specific
age. This is a regional weekend and is being held in the Seattle area in
November. This event is put together by Youth Encounter who partner with
Christian communities to strengthen their youth ministry. More information can

CHALLENGE
I have to be honest, I’m not prepared to write the front page of the newsletter
this month!
August snuck up on me and I’m still working on plans for this upcoming school year. It’s been tough because the weather has been so beautiful I just want to hang out in the sun and do nothing. Even though we are small, we are mighty! It even says in the Bible “for where two or three come together in my name, there I am with them,” Matthew 18:20. When God is with us we are stronger than if we are alone. Let us gather and celebrate the gifts God has given us and put them in action. When you get this newsletter and you think “Oh I don’t want to do anything because nobody shows up,” or “ I don’t really know anybody,” then I want to change your thinking.
This ministry is yours and nothing will happen without you.
God is calling you to get up and get involved...do something
extraordinary with your life! Maybe joining in with Faith Lutheran youth is a
start. There is always something going on to get involved with. There is a big
end of the summer bash in August that is going to be tons of fun and I hope you
choose to be a part of. In
September we are kicking off the year with a “Fear Factor” Night.
Let’s make this year the best year yet...So get up, grab your friends, and get
involved at Faith Lutheran. This is my challenge to all of you! Let us be small
and mighty together!

All this fun, friendships and learning! Sunday School is at 9:45 am each Sunday. We meet in the main sanctuary to start our classes. All are welcome to come!
